Hi every one I have been using MT for the last 2 dais VERY Impressed as I'm from a Cisco, Lucent,Unix backgroud on the NAS

But I have found some thing I need to do but can't so here is the qestion

I have a Unix billing system call billmax which allowsv me to control the user.

So for time logging I get the info from the NAS via SNMP which tells me Username, bytes up, down,tty, tickes (time on line) and so on I take the tickes + tickes used and if greater then the ticks allows drop him

same with the bytes used I read allot in the forum about and I think it much easier with SNMP for pppoe as pppoe is an interface the info is there as

IF-MIB::ifName.36 = STRING: <pppoe-test>
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.36 = Counter64: 5526
IF-MIB::ifHCOutOctets.36 = Counter64: 19304

as you can see it's there but small thing missing

like the info tying to the pppoe number and how long the interface is up for. Once it's there and as the info is in the system and need's to be put in the SNMP system this would greatly help

Why not to use RADIUS?

Find command should help.

Radius on the Server Side you mean on the start record. If so do you have a script I can look at and the ssh for the find command so to get the info.

I just like SNMP way it was much easier one call and you get the info. I hope you can get it put in the system to get all the user info from snmp as most SNMP managers can get this standered info.
