Maximum Temperature Limits for CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS

Thu Mar 18, 2021 4:18 pm

Hi,
The weather in my town changed all of sudden and two weeks earlier the stats were,
board-temperature1 = 18C
board-temperature2 = 21C
cup-temperature = 28C
fan1-speed = 0 RPM
fan2-speed = 0 RPM
psu1-state = ok
psu2-state = ok
temperature = I dont remember.

but today i was shocked that the stats are at.

board-temperature1 = 31C
board-temperature2 = 31C
cup-temperature = 43C
fan1-speed = 7560 RPM
fan2-speed = 7590 RPM
psu1-state = ok
psu2-state = ok
temperature = 61C

On MikroTik website the stats says
Tested ambient temperature -20°C to 60°C.

at this moment the CCR2004 is inside a server rack in center of it which has 2 Fans on Top and the airflow is from bottom to Top. The cool air from Server Room enters the server rack from bottom and then sucked out of the rack using 2 FANs at the Top. The Rack does not have any air conditioners where as the Server Room Temperature is set to 28C.
My Questions are
1. Is it ok if i keep running it at these stats or do i need to add air conditioner to the rack ?
2. What are the Temperature limits for CCR2004 ?
3. Which Temperature should i monitor for tweaking temperature ?

Here is a basic rule:
If you are are to hot or cold in the same room with computers/networking devices, the electronic network devices might also be to hot or to cold.

Interesting, your temps are lower, but fans are running. I've S+RJ10 in sfp2 and sfp4, sfp8-12 are DACs, rest is unused. Also psu2 is not connected for now.
Edit: this is in my living room with temp ~22-23C.
