SIM card position for LHG LTE kit

Sat Jul 11, 2020 8:30 pm

Hi,

I am having difficulty to determine which is the correct position to put in a SIM card into LHG LTE kit. Do I need to use normal SIM or micro sim? And which is the correct way? The manual said is the chip is on the upside, but I dont which one is the upside of the LHG. If someone can point to me with a picture. Thanks

Remember to add a office tape onto SIM card, this help you exit the sim in future !!!

Hello, I want to know how to configure all the sim card slots of my LtAP LTE device kit, it has three sim card slots.
I only have active a one slot, that it is the second slot.
It doesn't let me activate the other two slots, it tells me that "only APN can be local!" And I do not understand because.

Installing sim card is disaster in LGH R recently I spend like 60 minutes to instal properly sim card. I installed it properly sim card in slot first time and it doesn't show up in lte tab.

Btw there you have photo how to install it in recent LGH R LTE6.

This thread is about LHG LTE, not LtAP.

Hi

I have also challenge of installing the sim card to lhg lte6 so that the LTE6 would then detect it.
Same sim card works in lhg lte when framed again plus adding office tape to support the card and by turning the direction to metals upwards and cut corner as in the picture in this thread.
The sim card in lhg lte6 was inserted as in the picture connectors upwards and the cut corner to right. The sim card didn't fully "disappear" in and it felt like normal sim card inserts do, they can be pushed a bit and and removed by pushing more.

What would be the best way to get it working properly?

And yes, the antenna is already installed highin a hurry because it was possible to conncet with the webfig admin tool and though it will go smoothly due the fact that got the "older" version to work without great pain.

Hello!

Sorry to revive this thread, but wondered if you had solved the issue?

Having similar difficulty and wondering if its HW issue.

Any tips for actually testing the SIM tray or ability to use a mpcie adapter with incorporated SIM tray?

Cheers!

OK.... so after careful inspection of the SIM slot, there are a couple of bent pins.

Managed to (very gently) pull them up a little. Looks like they where not contacting the SIM.

Worked!

Unfortunately looks like only one pin left on that side :(

Thinking of getting a SIM extender so I don't remove/insert into the slot any more. Repairing the SIM slot is neither easy nor cheap.

So today I had to pull apart a LHGGM to get a sim card out. Was not happy.!1
So I made a new 3D printable model for a sim card cradle that allows you to pull it out without tape( etc )..

I have attached the .STL file if you want to 3d print one yourself ( I used a creality S1 PRO on super-quality .12mm ).
I kept a thin mesh of plastic to help hold the card from falling throu.

And the final product so I can remove the sim card without issue !!!
