MikroTik number of PPPoE connection limit

Thu Sep 20, 2007 12:07 am

Mikrotik 2.9.43 RB532

By default I'm running 2x PPPoE-client interfaces on same Ethernet1. When I'm establishing a third connection, the default ("Add Default Route option") connection basically drops. Although still connected (R = Running), it doesn't transfer any data.

After disconnect and reconnect it works again. I have check that only 1x PPPoE client has the "Add Default Route Option" enabled and that my computer can establish a third connection on the same ethernet interface to make sure that the problem is not in the line / ADSL router.

Any suggestion / ideas that I can try? This has worked in a previous version of MikroTik OS, anyone else with same problem?

It is a normal funtion about PPPOE.

You can dial 2 PPPOE in a same time, but sure the default gateway not select.

And then, make 2 ip /32 address which got from PPPOE as a gateway.

You can add a route rule as 0.0.0.0/0 gateway1, gateway2 by manual.
