Well, the DHCP server should get one MAC address pr. IP, but not multiple, however if the CPE is in bridge mode, it gets the MAC addresses of the clients behind the CPE.
One way to solve this is hotspot.
Try this:
- Check in System -> Packages, that Hotspot is enabled
- Go to IP -> Hotspot and hit the "setup" button in the "Server" tab, this will walk you through the hotspot setup.
- Hit the "profiles" button in the "Server" tab, edit your newly created profile, "Login tab" and enable "MAC"
- Back to the IP -> Hotspot window, select the "Users" tab, click the "Profiles" button and edit the "default" profile".
- Select "HTTP Login" for Open Status Page. This is needed, so that users don't have to open a browser window to authentificate.
- Make sure, that "Shared users" says 1
- Back in the IP -> Hotspot you can add users now. Enter the mac-address (including ":") as user and mac-address. Password stays empty.
This setup will result in, that the first unit pulling an IP will get a connection, all other units will also get IP-addresses, but they have no network access anymore. They get the hotspot login screen.
Another advantage of this setup is, that you can create multiple profiles with shaping values and your customer get their shaping rules assigned dynamically. Beyond that, the hotspot setup also prevents customers from spoofing IP's, as it basically NAT's them to a valid IP, if they use anything that they shouldn't be using.
