Multiple VLANs over EoIPs and LACP in bridge

Fri Jul 15, 2022 4:03 pm

Hi everybody,
we have such a challenge in our company. We have a main branch and two other branches in other cities.
The KE branch is already connected to the main branch using EoIP. But now we need to connect another branch via EoIP and at the same time connect the cisco stack in the main branch using LACP. If it were within one VLAN, then it is clear. I don't know what the right solution is in case I need to send VLAN everywhere - tagged and untagged.

Should I first set the bridge on EoIPs and LACP interface and then add the VLANs themselves to the individual interfaces?
How to set up VLAN tagging on multiple ports/interfaces?

how would you solve this thing?
thanks for the advice :)

A single VLAN-aware bridge on each Mikrotik. Individiual physical, logical(LACP/bond) and tunnel (EoIP) interfaces as bridge ports with PVID settings and bridge port vlan membership as required.

Unless you really need layer 2 connectivity between sites, which has performance implications as the traffic will be fragmented, then using different subnets at the various locations with routed layer 3 VPN tunnels would likely be better.

We wanted to use EoIP precisely because it looks like an interface on layer 2 and thus easier device management and access to services in the main branch.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly. Only One bridge as LAN on each mikrotik? There are so many options for setting up VLANs that I don't know what exactly "and bridge port vlan membership as required" means.
