Hi guys - I am preparing to upgrade a large-ish multi building network to 10Gbit backbones. Here are some ideas I have; would appreciate a comment or two is the general thinking OK...
We have a number of servers in central server room, and soon 5 closets in different buildings connected via fiberoptics. My idea is the following:
CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS as the main router. From it optical links would go to each closet where I would have one CRS309-1G-8S+IN that would connect with 10gbps direct links to each switch. Switching itself would be the usual 1gbps CRS328-24P-4S+RM for PoE and CRS326-24G-2S+RM for general switching.
CRS328-24P-4S+RMs (and its 8P counterparts) would feed about 60-80 APs (not finised with the model, CAP ACs, WAP ACs and CAP XLs) for warehouse and office spaces.
Servers and such would connect to the switches with 10Gbps cards directly to the main router/switces, depending on the location.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
