Smaller Netpower with PoE out

Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:29 pm

Hi, any Chance of having a smaller netpower with PoE af/at out in the near future? Netpower with 16 ports for an attic, barn or garage is a bit much. Maybe a Netpower with 8 Ports?

For indoor usage would be an CRSx14-12P-2S+ with passiv cooling great. In combination with the CRS309-1G-8S+ it would solve all my needs at home.

Yes, I guess it could be a CCS610 8p 2s in in an oudoor case. I wonder if the PCB dimensions of the CCS610 and Netpower 7r are the same…

I was also looking for such product to connect and power WiFi APs, up to 8 APs/per floor or so.
For such use, having 2.5Gb/s (instead of 1Gb/s), 2 SFP+ cages and RouterOS features would be much appreciated.

maybe like an outdoor version of this...

Do you guys remember when Routerboards were truly just boards? I remember installing one of them in a sealed box next to parabolic antenna on a roof, long time before I even knew what Mikrotik is. Guess what - people can still do the same, even with already boxed boards. Just put it in a sealed box and job is done. Even cheap outdoor weatherproof box for power strips will be good for this kind of purpose. Cost? ~$20
