(sorry for my bad english)
WA5110G and PicoStation M2HP have little gain antenna, and WA7210N have directional antenna.
I sell those products, the picostation are so much fragile, I stoped sell the picostation because too much time the power transistor for tx is broken after some week or month.
WA7210N is a mess of fw version, each more o less incompatible with another, but it have the better (directional) antenna among those type of products.
The 6db antenna included in package are too much sensible than the other, also the hardware.
If any interference of any nature reach the antenna, the signal is poor than the other less sensible antennas.
Generally the adaptive noise immunity or hw protection modes must be turned off if you want to connect any devices without problem.
What do you want to do exactly? An hotspot or a connection only from the Metal and your laptop?
The Metal has only 10/100 port, do not use high HT data rates, they never reach more than 95Mbit/s bi-directional.
Use RouterOS 6.7, the 5.x is unsupported and from 6.x+ the 802.11 protocol has been improved.
If you want to use cryptograpy never use tkip or wpa on 802.11n or ac, only wpa2 and aes-ccm are supported
This is a script I use in my metal, used as hotspot inside a little city, on the port, on the marina and on the 30km of beach (10km, the small city, and another 20km)
/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] band=2ghz-b/g bridge-mode=disabled country=italy default-forwarding=no disabled=no frequency=2462 l2mtu=2290 max-station-count=62 mode=ap-bridge radio-name="HS" ssid=HS tx-power=23 tx-power-mode=all-rates-fixed wireless-protocol=802.11
Each AP are distant 400 - 500 meters in city, on the beach are only on bathhouse, and the channels are interleaved (but the same 3 channels....) each point have two sxt 5hnd, one for receive and one to transmit to next point, instead on the beach are only one sxt connected on another unique stx as PtMP
Working all well with 10dB antenna and with other competitor active near the HotSpot, also on same overlapped channels...

I got PicoStation M2HP from my hardware archive
i was playing with it recently. i used its own AirOS & OpenWRT too, but it is struggling with throughput.
in AP Mode i got 9Mbps Down & 10Mbps up maximum.
can you please guide me is it hardware or software issue?
in datasheet they claim throughput of 100Mbps, it should do at least 50%
