RB133

Sat Dec 22, 2007 10:32 am

I HAVE 1 RB133 AS AN AP BRIDGE IF I HAVE ANOTHER RB133 IN ANOTHER LOCATION IN THE SLAVE WDS MODE, CAN I CONNECT CLIENTS TO THIS SECOND ONE AS IF IT WAS IN THE AP BRIDGE MODE.
IS THIS THE WAY OF DOING IT?, WHAT I NEED IS TO APS IN DIFERENT LOCATION WITH ONE INTERNET CONNECTION

THANK YOU

Enable dynamic WDS on your AP#1. Setup your AP#2 with 2 wireless cards. The wlan1 card should be station wds and the 2nd card should be AP bridge. Make a new bridge and add wlan1 and wlan2 to the bridge and then assign your ip address to the bridge group. This is how I do a wds remote repeater ap in my network. Others may have other ideas. You can also add the ether1, 2, or 3 port to the bridge if you would like a wired interface on the bridge.
