I've got two WRAP boards running 2.9.27 and two of the new Ubiquiti SR9 cards. One board is in ap bridge mode while the other is in station mode. They are both sharing the same SSID, Band and Frequency mode. I have even changed the band and frequencys to use every possible combination (the same on each board, of course.) But I can't (I'm using winbox) see any registration between radios, much less get any traffic between them.

Is one (or both) of my radios fried? The same configurations with any other cards: cm9's, sr2's, sr5's would have been working with no problem. Is there a special 900MHz memo that I missed? No one else seems to have had this problem.

BTW, the WRAPs are sitting right next to each other, signal strength shouldn't be a problem...

I'm fully willing to be flamed here. :-) If anyone's thinking, "That idiot. He obviously hasn't xxxxxxxxxxx." then please feel free to let me know. Thanks...

While I haven't tried one of these cards yet, you might want to try setting the antenna-mode=ant-a to antenna-mode=ant-b on both devices.

Thanks, but no luck. I've got some rb532's coming in Monday or Tuesday, so I'm just going to start fresh with them.

another note, for U.fl pigtail use ant-a, for MMCX ant-b.

I have two rb532's with the sr9 cards in them.
RB A is setup like this Mode: AP-Bridge, Band: 2.4GHz-10MHz, channel: 2427, Antenna Mode: antenna A, TX Power Mode: Default.
All other settings are befault. No nstreme.
RB B is setup the same but in station mode.

I had exactly the same problem with my first SR9's. My SR2's worked fine, just like you. Took me a whole evening of home experimentation to realize that the SR9's will not work without some kind of antenna! The SR2's will, but the SR9's won't! I went to the office, picked up some N-Male 2.4 GHZ rubber duckie antennas, screwed them on to the U.FL N-Female bulkhead connectors, attached them to the "main" antenna connector, and voila! Instant connection! Even though I was using antennas for the "wrong" frequency!

I would also suggest trying channel 2422. There are only 4 channels that work with these cards.

But why this? I have the same result. Can be possible that SR9 don't work with more radio signal in indoor mode but only in outdoor mode?
I think problem is on internal converter...

The 2.4 and 5ghz frequencies are high enough that the traces in the card work as an antenna. That, plus the UFL connector, is enough to 'spray' enough signal that you can connect them on the bench next to each other.

900mhz is a lower frequency, requires longer antenna lengths, and does not "spray" out of the card enough to get a signal.

You *have* to have an antenna on the SR9s for them to see each other on the bench. Period.

Today we have tested SR9 on two WAR boards.
Result... SR9 works fine.. Not delay on associations, no packets loss and great troughput..
We have used the same antennas for all tests..
Driver is the only difference from these systems...
