I'm also running my CCR 1009 as my home router but use it either clocked down to 600Mhz or 400Mhz even. It's still mighty fast and unless you are running things at 10Gbit it will probably still be sufficiently fast for your needs even running at the lower clock rates. Also, most often the fan doesn't even turn on in my case or it's quiet enough in it's cabinet to not be a bother in any way.
Alternatively to that you could replace the fan in the CCR1009. That way it should become inaudible or at least whisper quiet. That would be a lot cheaper then buying another device to replace it. It's quite easy to do!

The RB3011 isn't a bad device, but the CCR1009 will always remain multitudes faster, even running at the lower clock speeds.
