CCR1009 10Gbit port spf+ with xfp

Mon Jan 18, 2016 1:08 pm

Is it possible to link up CCR1009 port sfp+ with extreme x450 xfp port on 10Gbit ?

I have CCR1009 with 10Gbit foxgate SFP+ (sfp+d2sm-1310-10-LC )
from other side xtreme x450 XGM2-2xf-1 with XFP (10Gbase LR XFP 10km).

We have connected it by fiber (1,4 km)
and I have with auto-negotiation:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet monitor sfp-sfpplus1 once
name: sfp-sfpplus1
status: no-link
auto-negotiation: done

link-partner-advertising:
sfp-module-present: yes
sfp-rx-lose: no
sfp-tx-fault: no
sfp-type: SFP-or-SFP+
sfp-connector-type: LC
sfp-link-length-9um: 10000m
sfp-vendor-name: OEM
sfp-vendor-part-number: SFP+ LR
sfp-vendor-revision: A
sfp-vendor-serial: SE5T630062
sfp-manufacturing-date: 14-05-29
sfp-wavelength: 1310nm
sfp-temperature: 43C
sfp-supply-voltage: 3.233V
sfp-tx-bias-current: 34mA
sfp-tx-power: -2.201dBm
sfp-rx-power: -4.793dBm

or without auto-negotiation:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet monitor sfp-sfpplus1 once
name: sfp-sfpplus1
status: no-link
auto-negotiation: disabled
sfp-module-present: yes
sfp-rx-lose: no
sfp-tx-fault: no
sfp-type: SFP-or-SFP+
sfp-connector-type: LC
sfp-link-length-9um: 10000m
sfp-vendor-name: OEM
sfp-vendor-part-number: SFP+ LR
sfp-vendor-revision: A
sfp-vendor-serial: SE5T630062
sfp-manufacturing-date: 14-05-29
sfp-wavelength: 1310nm
sfp-temperature: 43C
sfp-supply-voltage: 3.233V
sfp-tx-bias-current: 34mA
sfp-tx-power: -2.201dBm
sfp-rx-power: -4.793dBm

So I have tx and rx power, up port status from extreme side,
but down status port from mikrotik side.
I tried to change different options (flow-control, auto-negotiation and speed) but nothing.

Help me, please.

I have seen active cables XFP-to-SFP+, so i imagine it should work. But you need to find right transceivers that are compatible with each other.
