UPnP loopback?

Tue Apr 26, 2016 9:12 pm

Hello,

I find if I make a UPnP mapping, it can be accessed from the Internet, but not from the LAN using the public IP.

Does something need to be done differently in the mapping, or is there any way to avoid this on the Mikrotik? I need both internal and external routing based on the public IP.

Thanks!

James

If you had the same problem with static port forwarding, you'd need hairpin NAT. If you examine it closely, you'll find out that it's just one extra srcnat rule. And it does not really have to include port number, you can make universal one that will work for all forwarded ports. I'm too lazy to test it now, but I'm almost sure that if you manually add such rule, it will work with UPnP forwarded ports too.
