Deleted USB port, unable to restore

Sun May 01, 2016 9:02 am

Hi there,

I seem to have made an error whilst troubleshooting a 3G modem issue.

I deleted the USB port from System > Ports via WinBox and since then no USB devices seem to initialise at all when plugged into my RB751G-2HnD.
As a result, I no longer have a "usb1" option in my dropdown list for my PPP client interface.

I have tried a factory reset, reflashing firmware, reflashing via netinstall, reflashing via netinstall with the default config included etc.
Nothing I do seems to restore the port.

/port print
Flags: I - inactive
# DEVICE NAME CHANNELS USED-BY

This shows nothing as mentioned.

/system resource usb print
# DEVICE VENDOR NAME SPEED
0 1:1 Linux 3.3.5 ehci_hcd RB400 EHCI 480 Mbps

Shows only the USB HUB/controller/RB itself.
I have tried a flash drive and the 3G modem that was in use, both of which work fine when plugged into computers. On the 3G modem even without drivers installed a LED would flash intermittently, but there is absolutely no response on my RB.

Can anyone please assist?
All forum posts I found people were able to rectify the issue by running a netinstall, as mentioned this had no effect in my case.
