Backup path with VPN thrown in

Wed May 25, 2016 10:41 pm

I need help guys,
This is just a bit over my head but here is what I have:

I have a remote site that is connected to my office network though an Ubiquiti AF24 Wireless link.
This network is setup on a port on my RB1100Ah2 which is connected to a ProSafe Gigabit switch which then connects to a Uiquiti AF24 radio. This link connects to another ProSafe Gigabit switch at the remote location and this switch connects to all my remote equipment.
This network is a direct extention of my network at office.

Now I have another network source I use for backup at the remote location that is connected to a RB750 router and has a VPN connection linking back to Office.
My problem is that I cant figure out how to integrate this for automatic fail over in case I lose the main path (Wireless).
I have enclosed the layout of my network to aid you in helping me out with this. Think I need to route my Main network through the router as well and assign a different address to my remote sight.
I hope you guys can help me out.

Hello,

Is your VPN established 24/7? Or do you only want to establish the VPN if the wireless link goes down?

If it is the latter, you could configure netwatch to poll the wireless AP at the remote site, if it goes down; write a script to enable the IPSec peer.
