No more than 50 (per radio) for practical reasons.

Hey surfnet
What boards are you using ?
What Radios are you using ?
What Antennas are you using ?
How far are your clients from the AP ? and what type of client equipment are you using ?
What bandwidth are your suppling to the AP ? and what bandwidth are you giving to your customers ?
I am setting the same up and just looking for ideas
Cheers

Mine are high the edges of ridges. All are fixed wireless, and we have 2.4,5.8 and now 900 and most location, so if you have trees, you go 900.

the best thing I can think of that I did that made a big different, was to stop using rootennas, They have a 60 degree beam width. I thought alot about CPEs and wondered why you would want anything other than the narrowest of beam width. We dont need the other people around you hearing you because you have a very wide antenna. We instead use 15db parabolics with a 8degree beamwidth, and after switching alot of them out , our cleints no longer have as many noise problems from local sources near their properties, and thus dont slow it down for all the other users, and keeps the entire area much cleaner with reguards to noise levels.

Thanks for the advise, do you still need LOS if using 900HMz and where can you get 900MHz mini pci radio's for Mikro Tik and what power output.
