Time based Bandwidth Control

Wed Sep 20, 2006 11:27 am

I want to take advantage of Mikrotik Bandwidth Control Management and achieve the time based Bandwidth Control. That is; clients need to be assigned specific bandwidth at specific time. Eg:

[1] Six Hours connection 17:00 to 23:00- 128k download/ 64k upload and the rest no connectio(0 k/0 k)

[2] 24 hours connection but split as follows: 12 hours connection - 06:00 to 18:00 256k download/ 128k upload the rest 128k down/ 64 k up.

[2] 24 hour connection but only during working days - Mon - Fri

Can Mikrotik handle this?

yes. You have to use "Time" parameter in simple queues.
More on this in the manual: http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/root/queue
