Hello everyone!

I'm trying to achieve bonding between two switches. They are both CRS125-24G-1S. What I did:

SW1 -> All ports to master port Ether2
SW2 -> All ports to master port Ether2

SW1 (ether14,ether15) ============= (ether1,ether2) SW2

But I can't use Bonding because interfaces are slave of ether2. Trunking is an option? How to avoid loops?

if the ports are controlled by the switch chip, there's no other way to go.
802.1ad or ax is not supported, and trunking done on switch chip is static. but you will avoid the loops... that would come from the parallel links of the bundle/trunk.
but still, everything else can be looped up easily as there's no xSTP running on the switched ports.

So, if I enable trunk in both sides, there is no loop between them?

Hi,

If you are trying to do 802.3ad, don't. CRS125 doesn't support that in the switch chip, so all the traffic will go via CPU and that will potentially hammer it.
Additionally, bond interfaces can't belong to any master ports.

Thank you so much! It works! It's a little bit sad that those switchs doesn't support LACP and IGMP snooping, as well STP with slave/master ports setup.

Still waiting for updates from MK development crew.
