My client has a situation where he wants to exclude "local traffic" from his accounting. Local traffic in this instance is everything on his internal network.
The users are on usage based billing, and have been promised all local traffic will not affect their caps.
Can somebody suggest a work around for this? Either:
1. Have a rule on Mikrotik that excludes certain ranges. We have tried queues, but been unsuccessful.
2. Get the data somehow from the router on the edge of the network, instead of the NAS. Off the static queues?
3. Monitor usage on the edge and add the difference between that value, and the RADIUS value to their cap?
If somebody does this currently please let us know, or any suggestions welcomed.
