RB112 vs RB5xx

Tue Oct 10, 2006 1:55 pm

Hi
What's the major difference between RB112 and RB500 series? The hardware packages for 2.4GHz comes with a RB112.

Minimum RAM

Hi,
RB112 has only 16MB RAM, RB153 or RB532 has 32MB, and RB532A has 64 MB. Does it mean :
- RB112 only enough for plain router/bridge, no
queues, firewall, OSPF, etc.
- RB153 or 532 could do the above tasks until certain level
- RB532A is more flexible
Please advise.

Any information we can learn to calculate the required RAM ?

Thanks
