Connecting to a device externally

Hi All,

I have done multiple searches on the forums and externally so it could just me being a bit dim but I cannot find a solution / tutorial to achieve this!

To give a breif overview of the scenario we have a Time & Attendance terminal which collects staff clocking in/out times and pulls the information into a SQL database, through a piece of software the entire solution is normally all in one location so this issue doesn't really tend to arise...

However in this instance we have the staff clock (Local IP - 192.168.1.148) which is connected directly into the Tik what I'm trying to achieve is to access this clock from an entirely different domain/network ..

The port the terminal/staff clock uses is normally 3001 (well thats the port paired with the IP we would use in the software when the solution is hosted locally...)

Any help or input would be appreciated!

Hi,

As far as I'm aware I have configured everything as suggested..

So the public IP Address in this instance is 188.39.138.35
The local IP Address of the device is 192.168.1.148 which runs on port 3001

Are there some further settings I need to configure in order to be able to connect to the device externally?
