Capsman is not the issue, ROS wifi configuration however needs a complete overhaul.
Cmon Normis, hire bpwl to assist your wifi coding section to produce/design something deserving of the MT name!!
I was pleased to find capsman as having coming from UBNT with their controller software, I wasn't particularly looking forward to managing a larger install. Not as pretty as the UniFi controller but who needs pretty when all you want to do is upgrade the devices centrally. Which is all I really do with UniFi....
On my HAP AC2 the 'feature' keeps on reenabling. Very annoying as it is a single AP for my mother in law. I do not need this feature for a single AP in an apartment.
Hi
I have a problem with provider capsman. My provider has wifi SXT and now I have Hap AC2 on it in a bridge mode(port1), but in my setup I can't setup wifi, because it use capsman provider.
How can I disable it throw firewall, or other different method? Thank you.
If you disable those Wifi interfaces to be controlled by capsman, you CAN control your wifi.
Whatever that ISP capsman is doing then, your wifi interfaces will not listen to it.
Or are you saying you ALSO want to use capsman ?
In that case, limit the interfaces where should be looked for the capsman controller. Not the one going to your ISP device, then.
If I use default config and use port1, then ISP capsman can setup my wifi, but I don't want it..
I must use port2 to cancel capsman from ISP..
So is there any solution use port1, default config with canceled capsman from my ISP?
If CAP setting on wifi interface is disabled, there is NO WAY capsman can influence that interface.
Open terminal and do /export hide-sensitive file=anynameyouwish.
Review file for sensitive info and post between [code] quotes.
Then we can have a look at your config.
I export it, but there is no special setup, because I use port 2 and then Cap is disabled.
I have HAP ac2 on my roof, so now I don't have phisical possibility to change on port1, make clean setup and export it with capsman.
But it is weird if other CAP can set my own wifi..
If I click on wlan, I can't enable it (wlan1,wlan2) through port1 with default setup on bridge mode.
