DSL Statistics

Mon Apr 17, 2017 6:50 pm

Hello, i have a DSL connection with a modem in bridge mode and a Mikrotik which makes the PPPoE connection and shares the internet. I would like to know if there is a way to get DSL statistics through the Mikrotik device, like dsl mode, noise margin, attenuation, speed etc.

In Cisco devices this is achieved by
sh dsl interface <interface>
command. I am looking for something similar.

You need to get the statistics from the DSL bridge using SNMP or some other method. I've tried using a TP-Link TD-8817, but it doesn't appear to have useful information like that available by SNMP.

How can i do that ?
I don't have any valid ip of the modem at the time i have enabled the bridge mode. So i don't have any communication to this device.

I enable dhcp-client on the Ethernet interface that the bridge is on but don't get dns or default route from it. Or you can set an IP manually. I hope MT will make a DSL SFP module one day, it's a pain having an external bridge.
