PPPoE Traffic

Good Evening,

I have an Huawei ADSL router that connects to my dsl line and makes an PPPoE connection to my 40GB account at axxess, then an MikroTik router connects to it, the Mikrotik is the only device that connects to the Huawei adsl router, then the Mikrotik Router also makes an PPPoE connection to my 40 Gb account, the reason for the second PPPoE is that my Mikrotik router has its own Public IP adress since I run my whole network off the mikrotik I disabled the firewall to enable me to access my router from the internet to view Traffic Graphs, Data Usage and perform other administrative tasks from a remote location. But yesterday evening I notices that the internet speed was getting very slow and even unusable slow, so then I hopped on Winbox connected to my Mikrotik router to check what is going on so then I saw that the is traffic of 10mbps download and 6mbps upload on the PPPoE connection (I have a 4mbps line) so I was shocked and didn't understand because their was no traffic on my enitre network and only the extream traffic on the PPPoE connection exceeding my max line speed, I rebooted the router and it was still the same, This morning I enabled the firewall again and the problem was instantly fixed, when I disabled the firewall again the extream traffic was back. My Mikrotik router ran for a couple of months fine with the firewall off to allow remote access with no problems at all. I really need to be able to access the device remotely but I cannot because if I turn the firewall off everything is slow again. also in the past week several thousand login attemps to my router was made via SSL and Telnet so I ended up disabling SSL and Telnet to prevent this.

Please help me fix the problem or give me advice

Thank you

Hello

have you check your router log and cpu usage (tools ~> profile)? It will help you to solve the problem
