Facebook Login on Captive Portal

Hello,

We offer facebook login through the mikrotik captive portal for public hotspots, so a user can quickly sign-up and receive free public wifi.

We have had sporadic reports from a number of users where their account is being "temporarily locked" and they have to provide identification / identify friends to re-access their accounts.

We are wondering why this is triggered as its is becoming a big problem, does anyone have any experience with this.

We obviously utilise a facebook app to perform the login with facebook functionality and are getting no warnings about anything so we are at a loss to defend against this.

Can someone please help us identify what triggers this.

We have users who are on new devices and existing devices who are being triggered this so there doesnt appear to be any consistency and its is extremely inconvenient for the user.

Thanks in advance.

Doing fb-login with large hotspot provider, haven't heard of this issue. Not using MT, though, but openwrt-based solution. With special backend for auth.
Did you contact fb already, to get the reason for the "temp locked" ?

We have the same issue here, happens all around the country (UK).
Customers getting locked out of Facebook and asked to verify their identity, different locations, different devices.
Anyone else having the same issue?

Have you tried removing facebook login and see if that works?
