I have same problem with 2 CCR1072 NEW.

Same operation in two units: Open box, mount my new CCR, upgrade RouterBoot and RouterOS to last version, reset configuration to default and:

[admin@MikroTik] > /export
# jan/02/1970 00:02:07 by RouterOS 6.40.2
# software id = FQ9P-KMI3
#
# model = CCR1072-1G-8S+
# serial number = 727206XXXXXX
#error exporting /system routerboard mode-button
[admin@MikroTik] > /system routerboard mode-button print

error - contact MikroTik support and send a supout file (2)
[admin@MikroTik] >
Two units are new, no configuration, reset to defaults and same problem.

Please provide export from other device where you do not see this problem.

Are you sure that it is running on 6.40.x or 6.41rc version?

Come on, it is not a problem isn't it? It displays an error when export encounters this particular item but other than that it works fine.
It is merely a cosmetic issue during normal use.

It is correct, not a mistake, but in a new core installation with 2 Mikrotik top router does not give the best image that nothing else export tells you that something is not right.

I use stable tree, no it's good idea use release candidate for router in production:
[admin@MikroTik] > /system package print

This it's a solutions from support:
Hello,

This issue is already fixed in the latest 6.41rc version of RouterOS.

Please use the “check for updates” button in your configuration interface to upgrade.
It tells me to put an RC version for a core in production?

It is correct, not a mistake, but in a new core installation with 2 Mikrotik top router does not give the best image that nothing else export tells you that something is not right.
Please post the REAL PROBLEM that you have with it.
There is no point in going on and on about a cosmetic problem that has been fixed in a future release candidate.
You are free to choose between installing that release candidate or keeping the current stable version.

Support did tell you that problem is fixed in 6.41rc version. Upgrade or not is up to you.

This indeed is simple cosmetic issue. You can even import such command on another device since it will be recognized as a CLI comment.
