Need some experience from others. Need to setup a hotspot wifi for a soccer organisations. Outside coverage around 200 mtrs.
Has anyone good advice for a setup. Was looking at RBMeta2SHPn ? Maybe you have other suggestions ?

Hi
Done a lot of reading. Lot of users have problems with Metal/groove as an AP, is far to strong for an hotspot.
Other suggestions ?

Always the best choice is to have many smaller APs spread around the seating area, not strong APs. Control them all with CAPsMAN.

On the other hand .... if the only one AP fails then you have no WiFi at all.
MikroTik RouterBOARD wAP G-5HacT2HnD is outdoor, waterproof, small, dual band ... seems to be good choice as AP.

That does not contradict what others said
many wAPs is better than one RB Metal.
Controll all the wAPs with capsman.

Normis
wAP is good as AP in CAPSMAN configuration
The main point of my post was to pay attention to "SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE".

Just make sure there is a backup CAPsMAN server in the same network. You can use scripting or VRRP for this. Clients will automatically use the other one, once the main disappears.

HI
I know best solutions is many AP's But infrastructure is very poor.
I gonna do some test with a wAP AC and HAP ac with capsmanager.
Thx for the replies.
