Dynamic ARP on DHCP

Wed Aug 30, 2017 3:42 pm

Hello Fellas,

Long time lurking here would like some help, I have a couple of devices using static IP via DHCP, problem is sometimes if I reboot the device it will be registered at the router with a different mac address , only the first 6 digit will change. e.g.

2 192.168.1.23 F4:F5:D8:C0:23:D6
3 D 192.168.1.114 02:0F:B5:C0:23:D6

I have no Idea, what's going on, Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Router Model:
CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD
version: 6.40.1 (stable)

02:0F:B5:xx:xx:xx = Virtual MAC Netgear = Netgear 00:0F:B5 + Virtual 02:00:00

When the 2nd bit is set to "1" on first octet probably the address are virtual:
02 is easly readable: 00000010 = 2,
other like "E6" must be converted: E6= xxxxxx1x = E4 (xxxxxx0x) + 2 (00000010)
