this poll is about USER MANAGER! it has no connection with winbox. winbox is an application, you cannot translate it in this way.

no idea what you just said, but if someone wants to do it - we have a wiki, where anyone can edit. just make a spanish section and you are free to translate whatever you can :)

I personally wouldn't use it.

... and I guess everyone understands something's wrong when there's a big red flashing sign on screen and the phone keeps ringing :)

Translations are NOT YET supported for user manager. When we make the new version of user manager (for ROSv3), we will have this and you will be able to make a spanish translation.

voting for arabic and french languages.

I hope we can find a solution to customize the user-manager pages, languages (or even add languages to use multilingual system, very useful for WISP  ), and for sure change the images or logo.

I think it's a bad idea.
IMHO a lot of unnecessary work.
Then start with an encoding problem when using remote access from various terminals.
Better to do everything in one language - English.

Languages are used only in web interface, console does not support UTF-8.

Yes, language support is supported in Beta using translation files. However it is not documented yet. The manual, how to translate User Manager will be available in Wiki pages soon.

What customization are you referring to? Currently in Beta it is possible to change Mikrotik Logo and Title. And background/foreground colors.

RB532A
ROS 4.1 (license upgraded ¡thanks to MT!)
User manager activated and tested working properly for HotSpot auth.

I followed instructions on wiki to create a translation to spanish in this link:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Mana ... anslations
Downloaded example
modified some words with poedit(test purposes).
uploaded via FTP with the name sp_SP.lng
but...
then logon, with subscriber (owner permisions) or user mode, no select box appears with language selection.

Tried uploading with drag and drop in winbox with same results.

any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Language support

I will never use it coz i don't thing it is important in anyway but now a days u can see multiple language support in every application & we have to make Mikrotik UM all rounder & 1 of the best.
but you can implement it later i would request you to implement mac binding, session search date wise, CSV file template, actual profile dropdown in advance search, auto sms & emails.

I remember once i have asked girts to change Shared users default to 1 & it was done in next release but after girts left none of my request fullfilled. The development of UM is very slow they have just implemented payment system in 2 months & bugs r not yet fixed. I'm nomore interested involving in this i hardly visit forum coz there is no one to listen here.

missing girts :(
