*) CRS317 & CRS326: fixed DHCP request forwarding between trusted ports;
*) CRS317 & CRS326: fixed ACL vlanid match (values bigger than 1024 did not work);
*) CSS106-5G-1S: do not show health menu;
*) make upgrading work from Safari;
*) fixed saving of large lists of VLANs or ACLs;
*) fixed SNMP host table interface indexes;
*) fixed VLAN table sorting;

I've tried to switch to SwOS on a CRS326 but it goes in boot loop, I've connected serial cable and tried to fix but it seems there is no SwOS installed.

I've seen in RoterBoot there are two possibility to flash new SwOS, via ethernet (tftp I suppose) and via serial cable but I've not found detailed instruction 'HOW' to do that (in the WIKI I've found only how to upgrade from working SwOS). I've tried Netinstall but it seems it will overwrite RouterOS part.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Hello bajodel, in case you have something plugged into CRS326 SFP+ ports, unplug it. Then try to boot SwOS and perform upgrade to v2.6. It should solve SwOS booting issues with active SFP+ ports.

I've nothing plugged into SFP+ , the only cable connected is in ether1. Tried booting SwOS (also forcing backup booter) but go boot loop (it seems SwOS is not there).

Tried also to give "swos-css326-2.6.bin" via TFTP selecting via console options [g] (upgrade firmware) and [e] (upgrade firmware over ethernet); file is loaded from TFTP but I get invalid upgrade file id .. see below:

I've managed to XMODEM SwOS v2.4 to my CRS326 (if I XMODEM v2.6 the device boot up without an IP ..even after a [r] reset config).

Booting up SwOS 2.4 and tring to upgrade to v2.6 from web control panel the upgrade succeed but the device looses his IP address (reset do not solve), see below serial console log during operation:

Since v2.5 switch address acquisition mode by default is DHCP with fallback to static address. It is the reason why you, probably, see 0.0.0.0 address for about 10 seconds right after booting.

I've missed the "Since v2.5 switch address acquisition mode by default is DHCP" in changelog, my fault.

So, ok.. I feel a little bit stupid! :lol: ..but serial console says and stay on "0.0.0.0" (I've never seen updates after minutes or reboot)
Checking via discovery (or dhcp lease) obviously I've found new dhcp IP and I've set to static (again); IMHO you should consider to keep static configurations during upgrade, many other guys will be in trouble not finding their device previously set on static.

Thanks for your support!

I have a CSS326. Does this mean if I upgrade remotely to 2.6 from 2.3 I will not be able to log back into the switch if I am currently running with a static IP? We don't have a DHCP server on that network and it's remote in a datacenter. Or, does it mean that it will simply take a few seconds for the DHCP to time out and then go ahead and load with the current IP we have set on the switch?

Kevo, it means that it will take 10s after reboot for SwOS DHCP Client to reach timeout and the previously configured static IP will become available again.

Upgraded two CSS326 without any issues. Also seems like the previous bugs I've encounterad are fixed.

Since 2.5, there is no any updates in SwOS Wiki.
Please update Wiki, some changes (like IGMP issues) need clarifications.
Thanks.

I have a Problem with SFP Kupper Modul from MikroTik.
When I plug the modul, the right Serial Number, Part Number and Revsion would be shown.
After reboot: Wrong Part Number "S)", no Revision and Serial 00100300.
That is not all.
If I enable this port, the Switch reboot, and reboot, and reboot. If the Port disalbe, the Switch goes not in reboot.
I have 2 Switches CRS317-1G-16S+ and on both the same effect.

CSS326 : Version 2.6 has a problem with data transmission on a 100M port a 1Gb uplink. Similarly, version 2.5
When I have a 1Gb uplink and connect, for example, TPlink 740N, Netis WF2419 with 100Mb interface etc. we have a problem with download speed. The maximum is about 60-80Mb down, 98Mb up. If we return back to version 2.4, so in the same configuration, the 98 / 98Mb down / up connection works.

That's interesting, but looks like 2.6 release broke IPTV functionality for me.
That's my setup: "hex PoE" -> RB260GS(CSS106-5G-1S) -> TV / Laptop etc.

On "hex PoE" I have multicast package installed and set-up. With RB260GS removed I see IGMP snooping working very well, i.e. via Ethernet on TVs and laptops, via "wAP AC" (connected to "hex PoE"). Moreover before I installed 2.6 on RB260GS all devices behind it worked well (I think I was on SwOS v2.5). But once v2.6 got installed I see 2 cases:
1) IGMP snooping is disabled on RB260GS: then only devices connected to the router ("hex PoE") have IPTV working.
2) IGMP snooping is enabled on RB260GS: in that case IPTV doesn't work anywhere in my network

Any ideas?

BTW is it possible to downgrade to 2.5 to check if my observations are correct and I'm seeing some sort of regression in v2.6?

Just upgraded to 2.6 from 2.4, now IPTV is broken through CSS326-24G-2S+. Multicast stops and starts continuosly.
Where can I find 2.4 image? I would like to downgrade.

Thanks!

Ok I managed to get both previous SWOSes: v2.5 (https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 1s-2.5.bin) and v2.4 (https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 1s-2.4.bin) and only with v2.4 I've got IPTV working perfectly fine again.

That said there's something wrong with v2.5/v2.6 on RB260GS in regard of multicast!

Any chance to get this resolved in v2.7? Was multicast ever tested on RB260GS with v2.5/2.6?

I figured older firmwares could be obtained from Mikrotik download area with manually changed version in the very end:
v2.4 - https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 1s-2.4.bin
v2.5 - https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 1s-2.5.bin
v2.6 - https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 1s-2.6.bin

Thanks Abrodkin! It also works for CSS326:
v2.4 - https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 26-2.4.bin
v2.5 - https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 26-2.5.bin
v2.6 - https://download2.mikrotik.com/swos2/cs ... 26-2.6.bin
IPTV is OK again using v2.4

Have to confirm - RB260GS, multicast does NOT work on 2.5.
2.4 - works fine.
2.6 - not tested.

When will the fan problem with CRS 317 be fixed in switchos? The fan is going off and on every few seconds. If the temparature on a SCP module reaches 40° it goes on and if it goes down to 39.9° the fan goes off - and so on. I think that reduces the lifetime of the fan dramatically!

I used SwOS 2.6 without any problems until I tried to operate an IPTV box MR401 (Deutsche Telekom, Entertain TV) on my CSS326 in parallel to one IPTV box directly connected to my router.
IPTV box connected to CSS326 did not work (insufficient network connection was reported).
Turning on IGMP snooping did not fix it. Moreover the IPTV box directly connected to the Router stopped working as soon as I activated IGMP snooping.

Please fix this as soon as possible.

As mentioned by other users: Downgrade to SwOS 2.4 allows IPTV. But creates a packet flood on all ports.

Does anyone has an idea how to stop the packet flood without IGMP snooping?

IGMP does exactly that - eliminating packet flood so there's nothing else you can do if multicast packets enter your network.
So waiting for SwOS update.
That's indeed very sad to see complete ignorance of this forum by Miktorik people.

IGMP v3 is not supported in SwOS 2.6.
Implementation is on feature list but does not seem to be implemented in near future.

Tried to avoid packed flood with SwOS 2.4 (latest release which can handle IPTV streams) by connecting router via 2 LAN cables, defining VLANs for IPTV boxes and other devices to get 2 virtually separated switches. But My FritzBox gets confused and uses only ohne LAN link...

The switch was rebooted, the partitions began to open. You must restart the video after the update two times.
Technical support Mikrotik so I did not answer. [Ticket # 2017120322000784]

Hi all !
Where I can find a source for SwOS 2.6 firmware the CRS317-1G-16S+RM
Just got this switch and unfortunately can't use it. SwOS (the recovery version) bootloops when more than one SFP+ module is plugged in, and SwOS 2.5 breaks DHCP anywhere on the network.

CSS326-24g-SFP+ trouble being trunked through another identical switch - it drops all traffic. Tried SFP+ DAC and copper Ethernet same thing. Observed in 2.6, downgraded to 2.5 - broken there too, downgraded to 2.4 broken there too.

Back to 2.6 and a config reset and it works, very strange.
