linksys WRT54GSV4 will not connect

linksys WRT54GSV4 will not connect to mikrotik pppoe server....
does anyone else have problems connecting this router using pppoe server on mikrotik?
It says it cannot get IP from server!!!!!

We've been running mirotik PPPoE server for our wISP clients for a couple of years. Occasionally we do have routers that simply will not connect. We either upgrade the router firmware or replace it. It seems like early on we had a lot of trouble with linksys routers working inconsistently. Now if you really want to troubleshoot the problem you need to capture the packets and analyze what is happening. We use a laptop with 1 built-in NIC + PCMCIA nic. We bridge the 2 adapters together in Windows XP. Then we connect 1 card to the client radio and the other card to the router. So basically our laptop is sitting between the radio and router. Next, we start capturing packets with ethereal. Finally, we try to connect with the router and watch what packets are going and what packets are not going. You may need to read up on pppoe to get your head around this problem. I wish I had a better answer for you.

I have no problem connecting my Linksys WRT54GSv4 to MikroTik 2.9.38 with PPPoE Server setup.
