Hopefully this is not an often asked question - it is really hard to search for "probe dude server down count" in a forum that's all about dude and probes and... ;)

What I am thinking about is whether it is possible to have a device on a dude map that of type "dude server" and add a probe that doesn't just check whether dude service is running, but can find out how many devices on that dude server device are 'down' (or 'up' or 'acked', or... etc)

What I'm looking for is a way to have a map on our internal admin dude instance that contains all customer dude server devices, and have them turn red if/when some device managed by those remote dudes are offline.

Is it possible?

Something similar may be achieved by using Feature request - Sending Reports.
If that feature request will be implemented we may than will be able to list all devices on the map and their state.
Maybe something like this: should be added in order to accomplish your request.

Yes! That would be useful too, but I'd still like to see capability to pull metrics out of the dude-server instance as well :-} maybe a special dude server mib file? ;)
