Hi all,

I use hotspot feature with dhc-pool to access people to internet. I have problem to accesss them via AP.

MT don't detect mac address of customer lan card, only mac address of AP. So, DHCP dosen't work... and customer can't access to internet.

I tried it on MT 2.8.18

When I upgrade to v 2.9 beta all worked fine.
MT detected mac address of coustomer card.

I don't know where is the problem exacly.
Is it bug of mikrotik v.2.8.x?

please help.

greetings

It sounds as if your AP is actually a router. This will prevent the DHCP broadcasts from reaching the MT.

If this is the case you have three options:

1: Configure DHCP relay on the AP.

2: Let the AP issue the client IP addresses.

3: Replace the AP with a wireless bridge.
