Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a recommendation for hardware that is capable of doing traffic shaping on a line that is about 500dn/100up without choking. I currently have a 300/20 link and am using other vendor hardware that employs hardware offloading that is reaching it's limit due to QOS turning that feature off. I want to get something that will be a bit future proof so am looking for something capable of doing queue trees at ~500/100.
Am I looking at 1100ahx4, ccr1009, or something bigger for this?
Thanks!

The newer CCR1009 handles that amount of traffic with ease. I can hit my max of 550Mbps with simple queues with the CPU clocked down to 400Mhz and still room to spare. At the default 1200Mhz the cpu barely blips. Only caveat is the fan noise is a little irritating if near you. No experience with any of the other models mentioned.
Sorry should have specified the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ is the one I am using. not sure about the other 2 models but I suspect they would also handle the traffic with no issues whatsoever.
Edit: Looking at the RB1100AHx4 specs and test results it would have no issues at all but someone with experience may be able to confirm. It is ~$200 cheaper as well.

I would say a CCR1009 will be able to do this, you may be able to get away with something a bit lower down the range but if you want some future proof for if/when you upgrade again then the CCR is the choice router.

ccr1009 with 100 PCs + another 100 other various devices, 50 mangle rules + around 30 queues tree rules, 100/100mbit net and CPU doesnt even go over 10%.
So i think u should be more than fine with this router and also as future proof.
