Dude is not starting anymore

Since the last reboot of our NMS-Server (Windows 2003 R2 standard) the dude (R2.0) doesn´t start as service anymore. Neither the event-log of windows nor the dude logfile shows any usable information (event-log: service not started, dude logifle: no new entry).

Any idea?

Do I really have to configure a new Dude from scratch?

You could just reinstall The Dude and import a recent backup. (You do make backups, don't you?)

Can't you manually start The Dude Server service (in Windows, Administrative Tools, Services)? Or check there what might be the problem?

No, service manager says timeout and the logfiles of the dude do not have new entries.....

Now I installed the dude on a new machine and in the next days I reconfigure the dude from scratch.

And the I will make a backup :)
