RouterOS 6.42.1
While debugging a user connectivity problem I've found the SSH CLI is sometimes reporting a wrong speed in interfaces.

This is correct (10M) and consistent with the information provided in the WEBFIG:

> /interface ethernet monitor 13
                      name: ether14
                    status: link-ok
          auto-negotiation: done
                      rate: 10Mbps
               full-duplex: yes
           tx-flow-control: no
           rx-flow-control: no
               advertising: 10M-half,10M-full,100M-half,100M-full,1000M-half,1000M-full
  link-partner-advertising: 10M-half,10M-full

But the print detail reports 100M for all etherX interfaces (sfpplus seems ok):

Any updates with this?

Found this problem on RB4011, RB3011, RB750G and more.
RouterOS versions are 6.49.5, 7.1, 7.2.

I got "speed=1Gbps" in cli (and api) even if a real speed is 10M/100M

Hi,

This is expected behavior.

Monitor can show the actual rate of the interface. The "speed" is a setting that can be used when auto-negotiation is disabled, it does not represent the actual negotiated rate. Documented here.
