Hi all im new to mikrotik and was wondering if mikrotik can do passive ip login.

i know it can use the mac address as a passive login but can it do passive ip.

the reason i ask is that we have a wireless network connected to a cisco catalyst router.

i wish to be able to put a wirless router in a clients house with a fixed ip and allow them to connect to us with out logging in but still manager there bandwidth.

is passive ip possible?

TIA

Do you mean private address from 10.0.0.0, 172.16.0.0 or 192.168.0.0 subnets by 'passive IP' ?
To manage router that is using private address, you will need to set NAT rules on Catalyst router, that will redirect traffic from public address to client router.

thanks for your reply

i would like to put an ip say 10.6.7.1 into a wirless router in someones house.
the internet side of that wireless router is connected to our private network using mikrotik as its authentication gateway. so the ip of the wirless router would be the login through the gateway. therefore anyone surfing on the other side of the wirless router would authenticated automatically. the reason why i want to use ip is that we have a catalyst 3560 in between the mikrotik and the wirless network.
