Help setting up a MT router behind a modem with 2 wifi routers in AP mode in ports 2 and 3.

Wed Jul 18, 2018 3:50 am

Hi i'm having trouble setting up an MT router with 2 wifi routers in ap mode connected to ether2 and ether3, i need to have the 2 ports on the MT with their separate ips, dhcp server and dns server, port 2 with 192.168.2.0 and port 3 with 192.168.5.0, the MT router gets Internet from the ether1 port, the ether3 network must be isolated from the others it would be a guest wifi, cant seem to find a solution to this simple problem, any help appreciated.

Have you removed ether2 and ether3 from the same bridge or (soft)switch?

By default ether2 is a master interface, and ether2-5 are slaves - meaning they are all part of the same (soft)switch.

You can change this by going to the general tab of ether2-5 and setting "master interface" to none.
