OSPFv3 doesn't (always) work on bridge with hardware offloading

Sat Jul 28, 2018 10:52 am

This is v6.42.3 mipsbe speaking.
I have noticed that the weird problems I'm noticing was caused by OSPFv3 being down, which is in turn was the result that MT's OSPF instance was completely silent.
First I was wondering where all the link-local IPv6 addresses are gone from the bridges, but first I wasn't able figure it out and second it turned out not to be _this_ problem.
After suspecting the bridge to the neighbours I have switched off hw-offloading on the bridge and the OSPFv3 instance magically came up. Switching it on again - at least for now - seem to keep OSPF up, but I have my doubts about reboots. Sounds like a bug in the master-slave-host_exceptions logic.

No need to help, just wanted to mention that they have some really weird relation, if anyone would google for that.
