MikroTik

It would be great (and I believe adding a feature that a whole community would use) if Mikrotik could add an MQTT subscriber/publisher to RouterOS for scripting. This would allow for some fantastic home automation triggers to and from a Mikrotik router - something which is becoming more and more popular given all the IoT devices becoming available.

I'm using SNMP at the moment but it is terribly unreliable. Really would like to just have the router comm on MQTT without a "middle-man".

Any news about MQTT support?

Recently added MQTT support is great but it's only for publishing. It would be awesome if RouterOS could subscribe to MQTT topic and call a script on each message. Any plans to add this feature?

+1 for MQTT subscriptions and running scripts

v7.11beta seems to have initial support for MQTT subscribe*. No direct script support (yet?) ... but it's a start.

*MT already has MQTT publish. Both publish and subscribe MQTT requires the IOT "extra-package" being installed to use it. There is no broker, but Mikrotik recommends using a container for that.
