Hi, I'm trying to send/receive SMS with a Huawei E3372 4G/LTE usb stick on a hEX 750G r3.
I noticed some people tried in a previous old thread:

but no luck with web UI since there is no port.
In CLI, if I run: /tools sms send lte1 "xxxxxxxxxx" message="test", routerboard is crashing and rebooting immediately.
Returning back with:

Is there any way to send/receive SMS with a 4G/LTE stick? If plugged on a linux box, it's actually working.
Note: 4G/LTE is working great on that usb stick, no issues at all. SMS is the only issue.

Replying back to myself, hope it can help somebody else: that USB stick by default is in "hilink" mode, meaning it provides LTE interface through a virtual network interface, doing NAT, seen then as "lte1" interface on mikrotik. You need to update firmware (google it), to change from hilink to ppp mode, in order to get access to AT commands, and then send/receive SMS.
