LTE Support in the US for the products such as SXT LTE and others

Tue Sep 04, 2018 10:46 pm

Hello,

My scan of the forum left me with the impression that many comments are old and not much info for the USA.

So for any of the devices in the LTE Kit US family:

What carriers in the US have approved any of these devices?
If not, I assume they will either not work, get zero support, or possibly have there experience/bandwidth throttled?
What is the actual performance like in the US?
Being a Cat4 device, does it provide the full 150/50 ? With which carriers?
Carrier Performance in multiple areas of the county?
The bands of the device appear to favor the primary bands of T-Mobile LTE. (Assuming there is a reason that band 2 has company)
ATT will hopefully work, Verizon will be a stretch, and Spring has no support?
Last Question...
Is a device planned to support the larger cat6 bandwidth of 300/50 ? Maybe with more US bands?

Carrier 4G LTE Band Frequency
AT&T 2,4,5,12,(17) 1900, 1700 abcde, 700 bc
Verizon 2,3,(13) 1900, 1700 f, 700 c
T-Mobile 2,(4),(12),66,71 1900, 1700 def, 700 a, 600
Sprint 25,26,41 1900 g, 850, 2500
Europe 3,7,20
China/India 40,41
() is primary band

Mikrotik LTE device Bands:
NA & SA LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and 12
International LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 20, 38 and 40

Please let me know. I would like to use Mikrotik device as the backup WAN Gateway.
Thank you.

Well, I am replying to my own post !

With a little more research, the LTE space is quite interesting.
Vendors are already shipping LTE Cat11 hotspots and gateways that max out at 600down/50up Mbps.
They do this by bonding two channels and it appears to be a popular interim before 5G.
Cat11 (or LTE-Advanced or many other marketing names ) is already available from carriers in some US cities.

So besides my question on MK LTE Cat4 devices working successfully in the USA,
Are there active plans for a MK Cat11 gateway device supporting the full set of FDD Bands?:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 66, 71

Thanks again.

I can confirm the sxt-lte-us works with att as I'm using it right now. Netgear has a 4g lte modem/router the nighthawk m1 mr1100, it has a class 16 modem with 1000/150. But due to the limitations of cell towers by me I get same speeds out of both.
