Probably because the ssid is configured into your computer. Try removing it from your list of configured ssid and try scanning again :)

Right!.
If you configured in past that SSID, your PC will be always seeing that SSID.

I had that problem solved.

i just cannot get it, where is the problem?

you are scanning from MT your wireless and you see your Dlinks SSID and MAC address, but ssid should be hidden?

is your MT set to same ssid?

MT has this feature that it can get any ssid no matter it is hidden or no, at least using snooper you can get ssid if there is any traffic going on.

I think you are true,
cause it option is hide-ssid=yes, and not for mac-address
and for me that methode is not problem.

in simple words - other devices will not see your SSID if you hide it. other MT will be able to see it.

when you hide SSID people normaly wont see it ...
some software can see only the mac address (ex: netstumbler) can see the mac address of the AP that is transmiting the signal ..
so users can't actually connect to the mac address only ...
and as about d-link software on winxp .. it can also see the mac address of the access point .. but still can't connect .. i've tried it many times.

In windows usually you should activate the profile which has that specific ssid specified and it will connect to it. But it also depends on your wireless clients aplication.
