pleaaaas help :CCR1036 ether ports doen't respond

Tue Dec 04, 2018 3:21 pm

I have a ccr1036 8G-2S+ cloud router, aftr reseting it and upgrading it to ros v6.40 .. it boots correctly until the username "admin" and defualt ip 192.168.88.1 appear on its touch screen, but when connected to the laptop through any ether port it doesn't appear on winbox or in nieghbore tool i can't log into or ping .. i tried to reset it and drive it to netinstall but also it doesn't appear on net install.
When connected to laptop through ethernet i tried to see the status of that port from the touch screen of router, it shows 10Mbps, and negotiation state:failed.
please help me to get solution for this situation , it drives me crazy.

Hi

does your laptop have a GBit port? these are auto-cross and don't need a cross-over cable. but with anything slower you do.
It could also be a compatibility issue, have you tried with a switch inbetween?

further it would be that dhcp is disabled, so you might need to set ip manually. Are the mac servers enabled? If not you won't be able to connect with mac-only.

Thanx for your reply.
of course i have GBit port.. it is not a cable proplem , I tried many laptops many cables, also connect it to another routerboard and try to connect from that board, it doesn't work.
i mak static ip in the same range of default ip of router. there is no ping in between. i don't know if mac server enabled or not, but the router get resetted to default and by default it is enabled.
it does't appeare on netinstall.

i wanna try a serial cable , but i didn't do it before, so what is the arrangemnet of serial cable, also the serial port on router is male and on laptop also male?? could i make a serial to ethernet cable? wht is the arrangement of its wires??

What port are you connecting your laptop to?

try connecting your laptop to the port labeled as "8-BOOT"

set your windows laptop IP to a fixed address, for example "192.168.88.77"

then, open Winbox and click on the "neighbors" tab.

it seems something is wrong with the hardware
you may need to contact the support of the mikrotik
after you reset it ,it can't work ,so it is very strange.

Serial into it and see if anything is amiss.
We use a standard USB-Serial adapter and then a Dev/Null cable in between to get access.
Console you will see if ports are disabled or not.

Recently had a similar problem not being able to netinstall a CCR and I ended up leaving it connected for around 15mins before netinstall saw it and allowed me to push new RoS to it.
