Hotspot limiting speed of connection without limits imposed

Hi,

I noticed that once you activate a hotspot on a Mikrotik router, there is a 6MB maximum speed limit that get imposed on all clients. I remove the hotspot from the router and I get the maximum speed of the network backbone. I tried this on a second MiktroTik that was not cofigured and got the same results.

I checked the profile setting and there is no rx/tx limits set. I tried putting a rate limite of 10M but still does not go faster then 6M.

Is this a bug in routerOS? I am using 2.9.27 on a routerboard 500 series.

First of all upgrade your router to 2.9.40 version.
Make sure you are not using multiple HotSpot profiles for users, and other profiles do not have rate-limit specified.

Hi,

Upgrade to 2.7.40, removed the current hotspot and all profiles. Ran the setup wizard via winbox. Same problem. I logged instations, and they split the 6mb. No rate limit on any profiles and the default has also no rate limit.

Add an IP that bypased the hotspot, and I get 25Mb speed. Tried on another router 535 with 2.9.4 this was not configured before my tests. Same problem. Is there something in the setup wizard that limits the bandwidth for the hotspot?
