Hey all,
What is the easiest way to set up a phone on a simple mikrotik router network that would ensure that the phone has allocated bandwidth or that would ensure the bandwidth wouldn't be hogged by the LAN.
Example:
Mikrotik 750Gr3
phone plugged directly into mikrotik port
wifi router and switch plugged into mikrotik port goes to guest wifi and other LAN devices (small network)

Thanks for any tips.

I asked a related question yesterday (QoS for VoIP without routing) and did get one answer pointing to a PowerPoint that explains how to set up separate queues with bandwidth limits on bridged ports. It also discusses routed networks, not what I'm interested in, but it might help you too. Otherwise, if you're routing, mangle usually helps, but I have no personal experience there.

You're question is all extremes so there is likely hood of you not being taken seriously. You want the easiest way, with a simple MikroTik to QoS VoIP. There is nothing easy or simple about VoIP, QoS and MikroTik devices.
