Use computer as internet gateway

I'm trying to use my computer, which has internet and is connected to my Routerboard RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN via ethernet (ether1, which is part of bridge-local), as the gateway for the router and therefore all devices connected to it. The reason is that I'm using my phone as a hotspot, and have the computer connected to it, but the router can't connect to it. I would set up a hotspot in Win10, but that requires a password, and I need an open connection (or possibly WPA, but absolutely not WPA2). So I want to make the router use ether1 (or move the PC to another port and use that if necessary) for it's out interface (internet access) and supply that connection over the others, specifically the Wi-Fi (in fact, not only do the other wired devices not need it, but I'd really prefer they don't have it, since I don't want them using up data). I realize this is a strange setup, and yes, I understand the security concerns with an open network, but it's not an issue for my situation and it's necessary, since I need to connect a computer that can't access WPA2 (I think it can access WPA, but I'm not sure). I've searched for an hour or two now and haven't been able to find anything related to doing this. I've managed to set it up essentially opposite, with it connecting to the phone's hotspot wirelessly then sharing that normally, but that's no longer an option. I'm pretty basic in my understanding of networking and RouterOS, so please keep that in mind with any answers, and thanks in advance.

Sorry, but I don't understand what you're saying (or asking). Are you trying to figure out how to keep them connected?

Hello Vertigo220,

Does your model have a USB connector? If you connect your phone to it and tell the phone to share its connexion through USB, then a LTE interface will appear in the RB2011. Then you can use it as a real WAN port.

Cheers,

I can't connect the phone to the router, only the computer. Anyways, I no longer have a need (right now) to do this, but maybe if someone comes along that knows how, they can still provide an answer to help someone else facing the same problem or in case I have the need again in the future.

It depends on which operating system the computer is running. In older OSs like WinXP that feature was called ICS( Internet Connection Sharing). Not sure what it is called now in new OSs, have had a need for that type of connection in a while. I'm sure if you googled ICS you'd find the new counterpart.
