We recently performed a firmware downgrade on several Mikrotik Metal 5SHPN using NetInstall. After the downgrade we rebooted and logged in using WinBox. We now get a message stating “ROUTER HAS NO SOFTWARE KEY”. I don’t recall ever having this problem before. If we go into System -> License and click Update License Key, we get an error stating “Failed: Please provide software id to upgrade from!”. How do I recover my original software key or resolve this issue?
