ARP issue

Fri Mar 15, 2019 8:42 am

Hello dear all,

I have an issue with arp protocol, lets figure out my scenario...
I have two mikrotik router, FIRST is "hex (ros 6.44)" that internet connected directly to it, and SECOND "hex poe lite (ros 6.44.1)" connected to first router's ether2 port and gets internet from first router. All two routers have setted up for standard configuration, except ip addresses. Everything works fine, except second router's bridge ip address is shown in first router's arp table. Also when I start ip scan in second router for bridge interface then all scanned ip addresses also shown in first router's arp table. I do not want second router to leak local ip addresses to first one, how do I prevent it?

Hey

Arp is used within a subnet. To isolate them, create another subnet on R2, and setup routing rules between both routers.

Is this your setup ?
First Router, ether1--> Modem/internet.
2nd Router, ether1 --> First Router's ether2
